The highly successful Vintage Amarillo event was held this year May15-16, 2009. Sommelier and charity auctioneer Tom DiNardo presided over this two day event in establishing a new record in easily beating the previous record set two years earlier. Tom helped the Amarillo Symphony to achieve a 150% increase in the gross proceeds and over a 100% increase in the fundraiser's net profit with fewer attendees at this year's event. $$ 2009 Down Economy Begins to Improve for Nonprofits $$

In 2008 benefit auctioneer Tom DiNardo commented (DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers Press Release) on the declining economy before "the recession" had been officially acknowledged. Dispelling myths regarding the recession's potential effects on nonprofits and charities DiNardo states, "Making money for our nonprofit clients is a process of effectively showing them how to do it better." DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers set records at every one of their fund-raising auctions conducted in 2008.

This year 2009 has begun to witness an economic recovery beginning this month. "In keeping with our tradition DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers continues to set records at all of our charity auctions," says Tom DiNardo.

The month of November has provided much excitement for DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers. An incredibly hectic travel schedule has put charity auctioneer Tom DiNardo in the cities of Scottsdale, Arizona for a charity wine auction and Sequim, Washington for a Boys & Girls Club charity auction.

In between auctions Tom was a featured keynote speaker at two national fundraising summits held in Denver, Colorado and also Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He discussed the current the state of the economy and its impact on nonprofits and how Special Events Fundraising can provide a safe solution.

For the second year in a row DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers set another benefit auction record in Washington DC at the NIAF Annual Anniversary Gala despite this event's 25% drop in attendance this year. This annual fundraising event features a Who's Who of Italian Americans (Center Photo). Left: Tom and USA Basketball's Director Jerry Colangelo sold the winning 2008 Summer Olympics USA Basketball Team's ball for $30,000 dollars. Right: Baseball great Yogi Berra and benefit auctioneer Tom DiNardo celebrate success after selling Mr. Berra's autographed baseballs. A Chrysler DUB limited edition automobile achieved a high bid of $50,000 dollars. The Fund-A-Need program raised over $80,000 dollars. The Italian heritage: Live it. Love it. Celebrate it.

DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers sets news record, grossing over $850,000 dollars, at the BARER event in Half Moon Bay, CA. "We almost doubled the Live Auction results from the year before," states charity auctioneer Tom DiNardo. This year's Fund-A-Need program set a new record, increasing to $189,000 dollars over last year's previous record of only $80,000 dollars.

Great charity wine auctioneers do make the difference according to DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers founding charity auctioneer Tom DiNardo. "We increased the gross auction proceeds at the St. Michaels Food & Wine Festival by 282% over last year. The highlight of the auction was a dinner prepared by Michel Richard at his Citronelle restaurant that sold for $10,000 dollars."
